The final quarter of the year was probably the busiest.
Adobo Magazine
Adobo Magazine is a local publication, “the Philippine advertising industry’s definitive, go-to sources for information, reaching everyone from agency chiefs and professionals, to clients, suppliers, media and the academe.” Our friend Anna is Associate Editor, and she invited some troopers–who are also creatives–to be a part of a photo shoot in the magazine.
In addition, Anna invited me to contribute! I wrote about Bitcoin or the September-October issue.
Star Wars Reads Day 2015
SWRD is an annual event for kids! It celebrates reading, storytelling and Star Wars.
The first one held in the Philippines was in October 2014, in Glorietta 5. This time we held the event in SM North. We had art activities, contests, stage presentations and photo ops with the troopers.
Because of all the events since September, Oneal and I were constantly sick. So after this event, we finally went to the doctor, and got prescribed a crap load of medicine.
Shey and CJ’s Doctor Who wedding
Our dear friends Shey and CJ got married! It was a lovely geek wedding, and of course Oneal and I had to be in costume. I was the TARDIS! He was Captain John Hart from Torchwood.
Subic wedding
The 501st gets invitations to appear at all sorts of events. My favorites are children’s parties and weddings.
We got invited to troop at the wedding of Lui Lacson in Subic, Zambales. She and her fiance were such geeks, and they really wanted troopers to escort them as they entered the reception. She was so thrilled that we were there!
Botchok back to the vet
My poor senior cat had to go back to the vet. (Read about it here.) It was traumatic for both of us.
