Barely-there makeup

I suppose I’m always trying to change things up. I’ll get obsessed with a new color, a new brand, a makeup trick.

Recently I’ve been bored with my blush. I felt like I didn’t have enough color on my cheeks. I had a few blushes in my arsenal, but they seemed too dark or too brown.

I tried looking for something a little more pink, a little more peach, but I couldn’t find anything that really excited me.

One day I was at my best friend’s house, and I was talking to his girlfriend about makeup. She gave me a little tub of cream blush that she wasn’t too fond of. OMG it’s exactly what I was looking for!

I’ve been using it daily since, and I’m really happy with it!

So here’s what I used to achieve this barely-there look:

Maybelline Fit me! Powder Foundation in Natural Buff
Most of the time I apply this with a sponge. The sponge that comes with it is fine. I just spritz it with two pumps of water or facial mist first.

Lately I’ve been trying it with a brush. That gives me sheer coverage, which is OK for daily wear.

I also use this after applying liquid foundation, just to set it.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel
I love this! the brush is perfect, and the mascara never clumps. It’s so easy to apply a second layer!

Canmake Cream Cheek
This is the Holy Grail! I can use just a little bit on my cheeks and my eyes for a barely-there-but-noticeable glow, or I can build for a more drunken flush! I need to hoard this, and to try the other shades!

Sparkle Cosmetiks contour kit
This is one of those things that I bought on sale. I wanted to learn contouring, and this looked like a cheap set that I could practice with. I don’t really get to contour much, because it takes too much time! but I like doing this to tweak my nose shape a little bit, with the darkest powder along the sides, and the white powder on top. I bought the 105 shade.

The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencil in 05 Dark Brown
This is so easy to use! Sometimes I use just a little bit, to add a little definition to my brows. Sometimes I try to really shape and emphasize my brows. Most of the time I have difficulty getting my brows even, hahaha. That’s on me, now the eyebrow pencil!
