Brands I Love: BeautyMNL

This is not a sponsored post, and I don’t earn anything by posting this. I did receive a free gift box though.

What a lovely surprise!

I had known for a while that BeautyMNL had a VIP membership program, but I hadn’t been inclined to buy anything lately. I still had makeup and skincare products, because when I find something I like, I buy two pieces so I don’t run out. My last purchase may have been about two months ago, when I realized I didn’t have proper sunscreen.

A few weeks ago, I got an email from BeautyMNL, saying I was going to get a free gift. I thought, oh hey cool, and forgot about it. On Monday, I got an SMS alert from BeautyMNL, saying that my gift was on the way. I was in a meeting when it arrived, so imagine my surprise when I went downstairs and I saw the box!

I wasn’t expecting a box this big. I thought it would be a small package, maybe a few sample bottles or sachets, but box was big enough for a pair of shoes!

Inside I found four items:

  • Amazin’Graze Coconut Kaya Granola
  • Organique Açaí Coffee Mix
  • Dutch Mill Soy Secretz Chocolate Hazelnut
  • Jelly Belly – Assorted

It should be no surprise that Lucas devoured the Jelly Belly within minutes. It’s a miracle I was able to convince him to wait until after lunch before opening it!

And of course he claimed the Dutch Mill; he had it after school. He said it was yummy, but he didn’t seem inclined to switch to this in place of his beloved Chuckie.

We tried the Amazin’Graze granola, and to be honest I’m not normally a fan of the stuff. But this was nice on its own, and I think I will like it better with milk.

I haven’t had instant coffee in forever; for years I’ve been drinking black coffee, made in a coffee press. Instant coffee mixes are usually too sweet for me, and regretfully this Organique Açaí Coffee Mix is the same.

Still I do appreciate the fact that the gift box achieved what I assume are BeautyMNL’s goals: get an old customer to try new products, and to come back and go shopping again. I was going to crack a joke about giving away freebies to dispose of products that are expiring soon, but to be completely honest I totally forgot to check the expiry dates on all these things!

To be blunt, I haven’t really shopped for beauty or skincare products anywhere else. Some friends have mentioned other sites, with lower prices and bigger freebies, but I haven’t really checked them out because I’m just too lazy. I’ve stuck with BeautyMNL because I’ve had a pretty good experience so far, and I really can’t be bothered to try shopping anywhere else.

So don’t worry BeautyMNL, I’ll be back. Thanks for the surprise!
