Since the 2021 edition of this post, a lot of new things have popped up in the grocery and become staples in our kitchen. Yes, they’re all easy-cook foods, and I’m fully aware that they’re full of salt and preservatives. But FFS I’m a busy woman and you won’t like me when I’m hangry.
Ahem.
So, in no particular order, here’s some stuff that’s always on our grocery list these days. This is not a sponsored post!

Pampanga’s Best Farmer Jun Hungarian Sausage w/ Cheese: Lucas thinks it’s peppery, but Oneal and I love it. It works on its own, sliced and cooked in a pan or baked in the oven. I love it with pasta, and a cream sauce is great at neutralizing the peppery flavor.
Jolly Premium Shiitake Mushrooms: I have always loved shiitake mushrooms, and I’m sure purists will be horrified to find in canned. But sometimes I just want it in my pasta or my noodle soup, and having in a can that I can easily pop open makes my life easier.
CDO Regular Ham Cooked Slice: I’ve always turned to Purefoods for most of my frozen products, but lately I’ve been loking more and more CDO stuff. I know this ham isn’t anything new, but I like having a pack in the freezer for any purpose: topping on baked potato, meat for a pasta, or on its own for breakfast.

Frozen French Fries: I’m not too particular about the brand. I just really like fries, and it’s an easy way of making sure Lucas has his carbs.
Purefoods Heat & Eat Crispy Chicken Karaage: Again, Purefoods! We just pop this in the air fryer, and voila! Dinner is ready! I love this with sriracha mayo. My brother likes having it with potato salad.
Eden Cream Cheese tub: I’m always happy to discover affordable cream cheese spread, and this is pretty good. Lucas likes it on his waffles too.
Frabelle Foods Skinless Longganiza: Frabelle is another brand that has a lot of good stuff! This longganiza isn’t much to look at and I always forget how good it is.

Purefoods Bacon Crumble: Do I really need to explain???? I mean, toast it in the oven and use it on everything!
Monterey Sisig: This is something we were buying long before the pandemic. It’s easy to cook, and everyone loves it! They recently changed their packaging though, but I’m happy to say the flavor is the same.
There’s more, but I think I’ll save those for a future post! What are your grocery favorites?
