Happy New Year! Once all the leftovers from the Christmas gifts and gatherings are all gone, what are you going to cook? I find that amidst all the rich food and delicious desserts, I crave vegetables, food with strong sour flavors, or something very mild, like Vietnamese pho. And then I remember how much time and effort is required to make something from scratch so I return to old favorites.
I had such fun putting together my last grocery post that I came up with another! Again, this is not a sponsored post!
CDO Premium Torikatsu: Whenever we can’t find CDO tonkatsu, we get this instead. It’s easy to prepare; just pop it in the air-fryer. But what I like is how Oneal adds egg and onions, and turns it into a lovely katsudon.
San Remo Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce: This is so useful. Add it to pasta, use it in lasagna or pizza. It comes in other flavors, which I cannot remember at the moment.
Purefoods Deli Breakfast Sausage: I really like this sausage. It tastes like something I might get at Pancake House.

Jolly Garbanzos Chick Peas: Garbanzos are amazing for making hummus, or you can just pop them in the air fryer for a healthy, crunchy snack! You can season with salt and cayenne pepper, and drizzle with olive oil, but it’s lovely even if it has no additional seasoning at all.
Fuji apples: I am happy that Lucas likes apples, and I always make sure to get Fuji apples. Despite their pale color, they’re bigger and much sweeter than the more colorful and photogenic red Washington apples.
