Bongga in Bangkok: Bangkok Arts and Culture Center

This is probably one of my favorites among the places we visited in Bangkok.

After we visited the aquarium, I was looking around to see what else would be interesting and nearby. When I travel, I always hope to visit a museum, and I was really glad to see Bangkok Arts and Culture Center (BACC). I was even happier to find out that it was walking distance from Siam Paragon, and that entrance was free!

BACC is in a lovely building, with seven floors of art exhibits, art shops and small cafes for you to get lost in.

Above: On the basement level, we saw a Student Art Exhibition. Lucas was fascinated, and he kept taking pictures.

Above: Artwork by Jan Kath, wool and silk on cotton rug, hand-knotted in Uttar Pradesh, India

Above: Puppets! Shadow puppets! Puppet regimes! It was so fascinating to see political art in a different context.

Above: On the top floor of the museum we found a photography exhibit by the princess. The most important thing we discovered is that she likes photographing cats.

If you have time, check out BACC, because it’s really fun, and Lucas enjoyed it!
