My favorite boy #2: Crying

When he was born, Lucas had a funny cry. It sounded like he was laughing. He went “Hehehehehe,” and it made us laugh. I tried to record it, because I knew he wouldn’t make that sound for very long.

Now he has all the sorts of cries.

Sometimes he has a very high-pitched one. That’s usually when his diaper is wet.

He has a lazy cry, which means he’s sleepy.

Then there’s the angry one. His face turns red and the corners of his mouth turn down, and he looks so unhappy. He does that one when I’m trying to make him nap, and he doesn’t want to, even if he’s really sleepy.

Then there’s “I need to poop/fart!” He sounds really distressed, and he kicks a lot.
