I didn’t learn to use makeup until I was already working, and even then I’m sure it looked like I just threw some stuff on. I’m still learning as I go, but tutorials and demos really help! These are the products that are working for me right now.
I got a tube free at the office, and I looove how lightweight it feels! We all got free samples, so now we all look smoother and fresher haha.
This is the first face powder that I feel matches my skin tone perfectly. I’d never realized before that I had yellow undertones!
EYEBROWS: Innisfree Auto Eyebrow Pencil
I learned about eyebrow pencils like this from my friend Karen. I saw this on sale, and I gave it a try. It’s much better and easier to use than my previous eyebrow pencil, which was a hassle to sharpen. I also love the spoolie brush on the other end!
I got this as a freebie. I wasn’t sure how to use lip and cheek stain, so I had to look it up on YouTube! Once I figured out how much to use, and how to spread it, it’s become my go-to for all-day wear.
EYESHADOW: Ever Bilena eyeshadow palette in Brown
This is a simple and easy to use palette. I think I just bought it on a whim at the grocery.
EYELINER: Imagic waterproof liquid eyeliner
I’ve always been terrified of eyeliner. I tried different ones, and I always looked like I had black bruises afterwards. This was the first one that really worked for me.
MASCARA: Celeteque 24-hour Volumizer Mascara
I LOVE THIS BRUSH!!! It doesn’t clump at all, and the mascara looks like each lash is just longer and thicker.
LIPS: London Girl Long Lasting Lipstick in Pink Life Matte
Normally, I hate pink. But my friend Shey was giving this away, and I was feeling adventurous. Matched with Nivea Lip Balm in Blackberry Shine (which tastes yummy), the color just makes my lips pop!
HAIR: Dove hair spray
I actually bought this by mistake. I was supposed to buy mousse! But it actually works pretty well for me, and it hasn’t ruined my hair or given me dandruff.
Whether it’s a regular day at the office, a weekend out of town, or a glam event, these products seem to work for me.
